Reader Reviews
Ron captured the essence of each character skillfully and with compassion showing their vulnerabilities as well as human frailties. This book is an engrossing, must read, and I look forward to Ron’s next book!
Ron has written an authoritative and engaging book about 4 young high school-age boys who formed a band, and had unexpected, sudden success with their first try. Moreover, the book goes deeply into the personal dynamics between the two best friends/songwriters who drove the band. There was clearly much talent between the two, and at the beginning, they shared the same goals. However, an undercurrent of conflict silently developed. The band initially had a regional following that quickly grew into national acclaim with their first single and album. This lead to a record contract and sudden fame. The band faced exciting yet challenging issues: touring, record company oversight, band management tension, demand for a follow-up album, and the mental and physical exhilaration and yet exhaustion that comes along with the adventure. This is fiction, but it is a story that the author knows well. The characters are well-formed, particularly the two friends/songwriters. Ron hits all the high notes in the story of a band. Highly recommended.
Ron has spent his life in the music industry and his new book is a great story about 5 friends who are in a band and the ups and downs they encounter in the music business. Hard to put it down! I have the paperback and have already finished it. My wife has the Kindle version and is just getting ready to start reading. Get yourself a copy soon and enjoy the show!

The 1960's was a time of local bands, some of who made it big. Ron Moody tells that story by introducing us to the fabulous Constellations, a group of High School classmates, who like many at that time, formed a band to have fun and maybe meet some girls.. The members of the band are all unique individuals and the story allows you to become well acquainted with each. The band's successes and failures are well chronicled, along with an inside look at the music industry of those days. I have enjoyed the music of Ron Moody for many years. He has taken his songwriting talents to the pages of this book, telling a compelling story that will keep you turning the pages to learn more. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys music, had a band back in those days or just enjoys an excellent well written story. Take the time to give it a read.
